The infamous trader of artificial raccoon skin caps made of pipe-cleaners and pine tar. He helped keep the pioneer's heads warm during the long winter days of the U.S. Western expansion. In his later years Black Jack opened the first hair transplant clinic in Denver, Colorado, for pioneers who wore his caps (the pine tar attributed to significant hair loss). It is rumored that while visiting Denver in the mid 1800's Abner Doubleday (the inventor of baseball) learned from Black Jack how to apply pine tar to baseball bat handles as early settlers enjoyed playing the "National Past-time" with their artificial raccoon skin caps. Other legends associated with "Black Jack" include the introduction of the now endangered Velcro Fields of California and the raising of Tree Octopus on his famous "Carlsbad Ranch" in the Olympic Mountain Range not far from Tacoma, Washington.
